“We have integrated our live interactive technologies with an open-source application called Moodle, to build the Learning Management portion of the eCampus. They wanted the ability to enroll students for online courses using their existing registration process. The integrated eCampus platform was built to allow users seamless use of their course applications with a single login, said Paul Shirer, partner with MindActive”. They also integrated their own innovative video webcasting, live event video, and video email applications into the seminary’s Learning Management System (LMS) to allow administrators, students, educators, and faculty members to share, communicate, and collaborate all within the same school based platform. Moodle is an open source course management system, also known as a Learning Management System (LMS) with users in over 200 countries. It has become popular among educators around the world as a tool for creating dynamic elearning web sites for their students. This eCampus created for Biblical Seminary by MindActive is believed to be the first integration that incorporates enrollment, social community, live video seminars, video email and single login functionality within a single user login system. Biblical Seminary chose Web Church/MindActive and Shapevine because of their development work and affiliation with Christianity Today, a Christian organization whose online presence reaches well over 2 million people annually and monitors more than 10 million page views per month in their Internet form. “WebChurch Media and Biblical Theological Seminary share a common passion to equip all church leaders and educators in engaging today’s students. That means using online technology to help train and educate tomorrow’s Missional leadership” said Paul Shirer, partner at MindActive and WebChurch Media. “We expect that as the future of eLearning evolves, this integrated approach utilized by Biblical Theological Seminary will become the standard employed by the educational community worldwide. We are thrilled to be an innovator at the forefront of these technological and educational advances” For more information contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
